Insane...

I didn't get to see it at your dA site, so it was nice to see this here in the Top 20. Very smooth stuff from you Madelief. What are you working on now?

3,333,360

That's the highest mathmatically achieveable score in Pac-Man, achieved by Billy Mitchell twenty years after the game was released (256 Levels, 4 Ghosts per level, every bonus prize that appeared and no life loss).

It pays to study computer games at University.

This is amusing. Every new stanza was a reason for me to crack up laughing, either from watching the guy's nerves increase in size, to the insanity that is the pretzel. It's better animated than a lot of stuff at the forum, though is by no means excpetional, and the sound gets a bit... flakey at times.

But this is a classic. No matter what anyone else says

Hard one to judge

It's a nice, original concept, synchronised to the music, with a good feel to it. The music was also well selected to the theme.

However, the images themselves were nothing spectacular. They seemed to be more constructed pieces than doodles, which is what I felt you were trying to express in this peice. Unless there is meant to be a bit of irony in there, it takes away from it's feel.

Also, the spelling was atrocious at places, and that's always a kicker with me. The blatent advertisement for NG did no favours either. Still, despite voting low, I know you tried hard with this, and it's better than the Insult Soundboards you've done.

More of this in the future, okay?

Ashy-T responds:

er ok. I know what you mean. I dont think there were tham many spelling errors looking back at it. The constructed peices began as doodles in my mind. Mabye i should have made this a little more obvious in the movie. Thanks for the review.

Ended too quickly

Too much focussed on the abandoned building - and whilst the punchline at the end was cool, it didn't celebrate Clock Day the way it should have been.

Apart from that, it was pretty damn smooth. Well done, and keep up the good work

Boltgun responds:

Thank you, I was on a pretty tight schedule and I couldn't extend this scene as much as I wanted but I think I got the point. Deadlines are painful.
Nice drawings btw.

Passable... Just

Please Improve. The style's there, but it just needs some fine tuning.

And it really, really needs to be longer

What the f*** was that? ^_^

Well that was... different.

I was about to give this a one, until I saw that it went past the bit where Orange Clock died. That saved you. The length of the animation and it's well animated quality saved you.

However, it's exceptionally odd - even for a regular clock movie. Sound was perfect, and it's great you blocked out the expletives. Shows maturity... for a clock

Very cool

Nice the way you blended NFS:U with MK:DD. I like very much. Wasn't too keen on the way it ended however, and some of the animation did seem a little out of place. But this is exceptionally slick, and I'd love to see this on the Front Page.

Focus: Originality and Plot

Just because someone made front page with Super Mario Bloopers does not mean that a thousand other submissions of much poorer quality should be submitted.

By being a sprite animation you can pretty much guaruntee people are going to pick on you for how little work you put into the originality area. So make a decent plot, a decent set of edits and recolours, and start doing this properly

You and Joanime need to find something else to do

This fad, as you well know, is making me reach for the pointy knife drawer.

Getting Jo to do the voices was a touch of brilliance, and I pretty much predicted you'd do that (what is wrong with the people complaining about her voice?).

The series is random, bizzare and set off the trend for the rest of deviantArt.

So well done on creating one of the most random fad's I've ever seen. Please don't do a series two though - I think I've seen enough Bricks to last a lifetime...

Amusing

The Clock Crew always seem at thier best when they're not insulting people with derogatory language. I find this an impressive and amusing testamony to them. Short, could be more amusing, and needed some backing music to be truly great

Congratulations. And good luck with the 3d stuff.

Thanks for the review! ^_^
